Aerial 360 Tours for Developer Sales Presentations
An aerial 360 tour lets someone look around from a photographed position above a site. For a development sales team, the useful question is specific: what surroundings can a buyer explore from the viewpoints and elevations captured for this project?
The image above is a captured view from our Nobu Residences tour. Open the interactive Nobu Residences 360 tour to look around the photographed surroundings.
A 360 photograph is different from a moving drone shot
A spherical panorama is assembled from photographs captured around a viewpoint. The viewer can pan around the resulting scene. A conventional aerial film records camera movement over time. A production may use both, but a cinematic drone does not automatically produce an interactive 360 tour or spherical video.
Define the output before capture: individual panoramas, an organized tour, still images, moving footage or a combination. Hosting, interface design and updates should be agreed as part of the delivery scope.
Plan the viewpoints with the development team
Start with the site address, project plans and the elevations that the team needs to represent. Confirm how those elevations relate to the project's floor levels and reference datum. Identify important directions, view corridors and any day or evening captures.
The operator then reviews whether the requested viewpoints are feasible for the specific site and operation. Nearby buildings, airspace, access, people and weather may affect the plan. Requested positions are subject to that review rather than a promise of capture at any location.
Keep captured views and proposed architecture distinct
A tour records the surroundings at the time of photography. Future construction, vegetation, weather and other changes can affect a view. It should not be presented as a guarantee of a future unit's exact finished outlook.
A rendering may combine a proposed building with photographed surroundings. When another studio creates that image, credit the studio for the rendering and Drone Genius for backplate photography. Read our backplate capture workflow for the information a visualization team should supply.
Use real project examples in the sales conversation
Our architecture and developer-view portfolio includes Nobu Residences, Faena Residences Miami and St. Regis Sunny Isles. Open the individual tours to explore how captured views can be organized for a project presentation.
For your project, send the address, plans, requested elevations and delivery needs. We can review a capture and presentation scope with your development or visualization team.
